Anticipation
Do you ever have those moments where you are right on the verge of something big? Maybe right before you got married, or right before you had a baby. Sometimes it may just be the anticipation of a word from the Lord. I am there. Anticipation. Isn't that the name of a song in the 70's. I am anticipating with great joy and excitement the birth of our second grandpeep. But it is not just the baby and all the great stuff that comes with that- like holding it, kissing it, reading to it, singing to it until it understands Gigi can't sing. In case you are wondering why I refer to my precious grandchild as "it" it is because we are also anticipating the gender! What a surprise!
I am anticipating many other things as well. Like watching our son become a daddy. My heart swells everytime I picture him doing daddy things. His life and his heart will change in ways he cannot anticipate yet because he has never been there before. I anticipate watching my precious daughter-in-law be a mommy. Watching her look at her baby like no one else does. I anticipate the way their household will change. The dynamics of being a family of three and how decisions they make involve three people now not just two. I anticipate how their prayer lives will change. Don't misunderstand, they are prayer warriors already but nothing can bring you to your knees before the Throne of Grace like praying for your children can.
I anticipate watching the interaction between our two year old grandson and his new cousin. I hope they have a lot of cousins to play with and I hope they all love to be at Gigi and PawPaw's house!!
Don't you know it is the same for us with our Heavenly Father. He anticipates so much for us that we cannot even fathom yet. He tells us so - "No eye has seen or ear has heard, nor mind conceived what God has planned for those who love Him." I for one cannot wait to see what God has planned for this family. Our family vehicle just keeps getting larger and larger, Praise you Lord.

SIESTA SCRIPTURE MEMORY VERSE #3!
I so anticipate each new verse. There is something so thrilling about scrolling through everyone's verse that they are commiting to memory. Lives are going to be changed. I know mine is and I cannot wait to see how. God is so good and faithful with us. More showering for Baby Peep today. I think my daughter-in-law may put herself in labor she gets so excited on shower days! She absolutely cannot wait to meet the child that will change her whole world. It is already our prayer for the moment when that child meets the Savior who came as a child to change the whole world. What a day of rejoicing that will be!
Psalm 86:11-12 "Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. I will praise you O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever."
Have a blessed day!

A DAY IN THE LIFE
I am such a newbie to this whole blogging experience! I have been a follower of blogs but have never felt compelled to create one until I joined Vicki Courtney's online book club for her phenom book, "5 Conversations you must have with your daughter." Welcome to the 21st century! I am so excited today I felt an urgency to write my first post (as I am sure scads of followers will read - ahem, the scads I call and tell "Go read my post!"). My bible study girls and I are starting Esther tonight and we are so thrilled we can hardly contain ourselves and I posted my second Siesta Scripture verse today
"Because of your unfailing love, I can enter your house; with deepest awe I will worship at your Temple.
Lead me in the right path, O Lord, or my enemies will conquer me. Tell me clearly what to do, and show me which way to turn." Psalm 5:7-8
Nothing has impacted my life like saying scripture outloud. My youngest daughter is doing it with me, her scriptures are different but we are "wielding our unsheathed swords" for the glory of God.
Today is just a great day, so much to be thankful for, A God who loves me and blesses me in ways I never could have imagined, a husband I love, great kids, a grandbaby coming to spend time with his PawPaw and Gigi and another grandpeep getting set to make their arrival. Seems like even when life is hard (and it always is) that the greatest joys are find in the simplest of things.
I hope even if you are suffering a difficult time right now that the Lord will bring to your mind a peace and a joy that nothing or nobody can take away from you.
Have a blessed day!
