The Showering for Baby Peep has Begun!!!

Yesterday was the first of several showers for the newest peep set to make its arrival in a few weeks! We had the most fun eating, visiting with old friends, watching the momma-to-be open each present with the wide-eyed wonder of a child at Christmas, and reminiscing about how it only seems like yesterday our babies were in onesies (my baby is in “tweensies”). My daughter-in-law has the greatest group of friends and family that threw her the sweetest shower. It is hard to not want to do sweet things for Laura. She is one of the most genuine and kind people that I know. Even at such a young age she is already a virtuous and godly wife to our oldest son. She strives and desires to accomplish God’s will in her life and she is going to be a wonderful mother.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

I am such a newbie to this whole blogging experience! I have been a follower of blogs but have never felt compelled to create one until I joined Vicki Courtney's online book club for her phenom book, "5 Conversations you must have with your daughter." Welcome to the 21st century! I am so excited today I felt an urgency to write my first post (as I am sure scads of followers will read - ahem, the scads I call and tell "Go read my post!"). My bible study girls and I are starting Esther tonight and we are so thrilled we can hardly contain ourselves and I posted my second Siesta Scripture verse today
"Because of your unfailing love, I can enter your house; with deepest awe I will worship at your Temple.
Lead me in the right path, O Lord, or my enemies will conquer me. Tell me clearly what to do, and show me which way to turn." Psalm 5:7-8
Nothing has impacted my life like saying scripture outloud. My youngest daughter is doing it with me, her scriptures are different but we are "wielding our unsheathed swords" for the glory of God.
Today is just a great day, so much to be thankful for, A God who loves me and blesses me in ways I never could have imagined, a husband I love, great kids, a grandbaby coming to spend time with his PawPaw and Gigi and another grandpeep getting set to make their arrival. Seems like even when life is hard (and it always is) that the greatest joys are find in the simplest of things.
I hope even if you are suffering a difficult time right now that the Lord will bring to your mind a peace and a joy that nothing or nobody can take away from you.
Have a blessed day!
